Experience the northern culture
For thousands of years Jokkmokk has been a meeting point during the winter. The reindeer herders migrated down to the forest area together with their families and animals. Meet our friend Anna and learn more about the Sami culture and life as a reindeer herder. Try their traditional food and meet some of their reindeers.
We use the few hours of daylight to experience the fresh and clean air and discover the nature around Jokkmokk. Slide across the frozen lakes and through snow-covered forest on a sledge pulled by enthusiastic huskies. We try to get a glimpse of the majestic Sarek moose that grows bigger than its relatives.
